Founded in 2016, the Aztec Rebels
are the first mexican motorcycle club in New York City.







































                                               













Thanksgiving night.
A small opening reveals concrete stairs that go down to the basement in a quiet NYC street.
























But the silence doesn’t last too long. The sound of banda music fills the basement space.








             










































































Whispers run through the crowd and all the leather vested men look to the staircase. 

“Look at what you built, we started with 4 cabrones and now check this out”

He migrated to the United States when he was 12.






































“Making the trip by myself was not scary. It was like an adventure through the desert.”

Expecting to find the idilic New York City skyline, Andrés found himself in the 90’s South Bronx, in the middle of the crack epidemic.

























Growing up in these streets, he found a safe space in the motorcycle club.















With his brother, Eddie, they decided to found their own club.


























































The Aztec Rebels M.C is a safe haven for the latino community in the five boroughs of NYC.
